In which I'm fantarded...

for GeekBlather fans. Seriously.
Let me explain.
No, there is too much, let me sum up.

See, I started a part time job which is not overly exciting, but I'm good at it. Which, is fine. At least I'm good at it. But, it does take me away from the comic. (No, this isn't the 'oh noz guyz, i has to cut back' post. I don't ever plan on making one of those.) It's not a 'not enough time to produce' thing, it's that I really love working on the strip, and writing it/gaming it with Kara. I LOVE drawing it and shading, and everything. Love it. So, things that take away from that (while money making) aren't as fun. Probably why it's called work. Aaanyway.

That would be fine. Usually I come home and work on the strip, and game with Kara in the process. But Kara's in Peru. Which means, that comic-world time is even more cut down.

But! As I'm talking to Avydota for the forums (people are more than welcome to message me if I'm around by the way) she mentions that she should really get me into an RP. And, since I'm already jonesing for some gaming, I basically pounced all over her. Another reader came online, and I immediately glomped her into it as well. This, in addition to actually getting fanfics for the contest, and the amazing amount of fanart we have for such a baby comic, is really astounding. Plus readers with their own comics asking me to do commissions (which is awesome as that money goes into a new-tablet fund).

So- basically, GB readers, y'all rock.

Brief note

I put up a new vote incentive, quick sketch of Marcus (since everyone seems to love him) as a BuzzComics vote incentive. Enjoy! Also, sometimes people get cookies for poking around the forum and bothering the characters.

I can has blueberries!

I have blueberries. They're delishush. Especially with the ickle baby tin of Haagen Dazs. They're so cute and wee. For people who don't know what I'm talking about, you can buy Haagen Dazs (and Ben and Jerry's for that matter) in a teeny little pot like this. Which is awesome, because I wanted ice cream with my blueberries, but just enough to get them wet, and I didn't want a whole big thing of ice cream. Just an ickle bit. Plus the little pots are so damn cute! (See Rule #14 under "The Rules of Cuteness")

The Fanfic Contest at in Babble is still running, you have until the end of the month (July 31) to get your entries in, anything you want, between 500 and 10,000 words. What do you get you say?

You get a Geek Blather figurine of your very own, mailed to your house. All the figures are made with my own two hands, and (if they were standing) are about 6 inches tall. So, there ya go. Awesome.

It's late, but I've not updated in a while...

Some things going on. Thing one! AhhH! I'm very concerned about Rich from Penny and Aggie because I'm a big fantard. I've also posted rules for the Fanfic Contest including a pic of a sample of the prize. The contest is running until the end of the month, for people who are curious. I also update the Fanart page with some more pictures, including a couple of silly comics, and a 3D Gwydia, which is really cool! Thank you Aiden and Rick! What else...
I've been busy working on commissions this week, which makes me wicked happy. I love doing character designs, and these should be some really cool ones. On that note, I also posted some samples of other Commissions. Don't steal, those folks don't belong to me, I just made the arts.

Oh. And for some reason I can't stop listening to Bonnie Tyler, "I need a Hero" and Metric, "Dead Disco." Dead Disco especially really reminds me of Shiny Toy Guns.

Nom nom nom. I'm sleepy now. 'night.
