Post-midnight post

Know what I love? When I have to check the date three times before it actually registers in my head long enough to type it. Yeah, that rocks my socks.

*achem* So, a couple of people have expressed confusion over terminology. This is understandable. A lot of the things that go in here, well, they come from inside my (or Kara's) crazy head. Believe me, it's a scary confusing place.
But, there's coffee and dice to balance it out, so it's all ok. Anyway, where was I going with this? Riiight. I'm in the process of making a "glossary" page. Of course, first I have to go through and figure out what things need defining, and then have to actually code the page
so bear with me. I'm getting there. In the meantime, you can always check Urban Dictionary or Wikipedia for all your internet definition needs. Some words I think are specific to game, and I'll happily define those, or answer questions if you send me an email.
Or if you want to say the comic is good or "OMFGWTFBBQ! This is teh shit!" In which case I will say, the estate agent said Bathroom en Suite.

Hm. Maybe I shouldn't write these after midnight... (the above is an Eddie Izzard quote by the way.)

What else... I had actual news...

-insert Pooh Bear thinking face-

Right!

I remembered. I did some updating to the links page. Officially linking to Wapsi Square and Candi. I'm aware that probably everyone has been reading Wapsi forever (especially if you read any of the other comics on this page) but I just started reading it this year/catching up on archives. So, now I link to it. Huzzah!
Confetti for all. If I knew how, this is where I would insert some obnoxious blinky font that looks like christmas lights. Actually, I probably could figure it out; but I'm not gonna. Because it's irritating.

-Points to the above sentence- Notice the semi-colon there. Take a moment to savor the semi-colon. Quite possibly one of the most ignored and classiest pieces of punctuation in existence. With the exception of a properly used colon, there is no finer slice of grammatical breathing space. Thanks Margo Scribner, and thank you Deluxe Transitive Vampire.

Okay. It's official. No more writing "news" posts after midnight. Seriously.

Locker room talk-

I could not stop listening to Bon Jovi - 'Livin' on a Prayer' when I was coloring this. I think I listened to it
seven or eight times. There's something about "Whooooo-aaaah, we're haaalfway theee-eere, Whoooo-oooaah, livin' on a prayer" that really
demands that it be turned up loud and belted out. Of course, the sketching was done with Godsmack - 'Awake' (ironically enough, at about three in the morning).
So, there you go. A full spectrum of metal. From eighties-tastic hair pretty boy pop-metal, to new hard metal. Remember, the more you know.

Banners!

This is a short tarded news post. Ok. News is a slight overstatement. Mostly it's just me babbling about the silly things in my head, or whatever I was thinking about when I drew the strip. Sometimes not even that.

Where was I going with this?

Oh yeah. I really like the second panel. Like it so much it's part of my spiffy banner!

Which anyone and everyone is free to take and put on their link page to link back here.

The 'real' people

Ahhh, here we go. Finally getting around to introducing the 'real' people
surrounding Game-land. Well, namely Kara, Miles, and me. Note the hat, distinguishing this as Original Miles, or 'Miles Classic.'
New Miles doesn't wear a hat and sometimes wears his glasses like he's supposed to.

Agate...

Oh Agate. He amuses me to no end.

What's that you ask?

Why yes. He is gayer than pink ink.

Also, you might have noticed things are a little different. (Unless of course you're just getting here, in which case, they look the same.) Right. Point.
I'm getting there. Over the weekend I did some updating to the site, and posted some character profiles on the Cast page, and reformatted the gallery a little, so that it's a little cleaner. Also, clicking the wee little pictures, takes you to the full view that they're cropped from. I think the full pics are pretty cool anyway, and worth checking out.
Also! I'm super stoked to be getting some feedback, via message boards and things from people. So, thank you!

Back to the storyline! Don't worry, pretty soon all the names will be introduced. Some of you might
recognize these guys anyway. I'm also working on making the cast page for all this- which should help immensely.

Some of you might be confused about the little 'Vote' buttons, at the top of the page. Right under the title. See 'em?
Hang on, I'll wait while you go look. There's one for BuzzComics, and for Top Webcomics, and The Webcomics list. There we go.
What's the deal with those anyway? A bunch of comics have them. Are they ads? Are they cookies? Can I eat it? Can I put it on my head?
Uh, no. Well, it's like a cookie. In a not-really-at-all-cookie-like kind of way.
I'll explain. For just about everything that exists in the world, there are lists of webcomics available on the internet. Some, like The Webcomic List are directories, where you can search for comics
and mark favorites. (That still doesn't explain the buttons, I hear you scream silently.) Hang on, I'm getting there. By clicking the buttons, you can vote for
how awesome my comic is. Doing this, also opens up a character sketch, which is your little goodie for voting for me (see how it's like a cookie now?)
The more votes I get on the comic list, the higher it is on the list. The higher on the list it is, the more likely it is that other people will see it too, and say to themselves, "Self, other people like that comic. I should check it out too." Because
this is the US (for most of you) and people are like that. If people are interested, I can also put up link buttons that let you see where the comic. In a lot of cases, even one vote makes a difference. As in, 14 votes was enough to go from 1500-something, to about 480. Democracy in action folks. Seriously.
So, other than getting to see special character designy sketch, what else do I get? Well, you get me not bugging you about voting. And really, isn't that the greatest gift of all?

Not-teen people comic?

Wait- huh? This is in black and white- and- it's not high school-y
type people. Yes. I know it's not. This is me, and Kara, and my little
explanation for the existence of this strip. While there is a very
rich world that exists within Game, there's also a lot of fluff and
silliness in the real world. Actually, probably more fluff and
silliness than in Game itself. Go figure.

Also- how excited am I that the second comic got 100 hits in less that 24 hours? And they weren't even all me!
Really quite very excited, that's how excited.

Hee.

This was a very fun strip to draw. *ahem* Eye candy.

Remember kids, Fanservice, isn't just for straight guys, and it's not just for breakfast!

Very First Comic Ever!

Obviously I don't have a lot to say here yet, other than general squee
over having stuff finally posted to the web. Eventually news and explanations (maybe
even the standard 'Duuuude, sorry the strip was late... but I toootally spaced' comic excuses).

Hopefully not though. Just know that I'm super excited if you're even reading this. And email me if you like it at all! Or don't!
