Pre-Christmas slush.

Here's where I'm glad I already have Saturday's strip finished. I'm going to try to get ahead for next week over the next few days, so that there's no break in updates. Although I may save news for after the holidays when I get back.
Because, well, not that the typing at midnight isn't fabulous and incoherent; but, I get tired. And sometimes- I don't have lots to say. Uhm. What is there.
Oh! Aeire, who did Queen of Wands Sadly, it is no more. But! She is starting up a new project (to be added to my links page when, yanno, a link to it exists) with Chris Daily of Striptease.
So, that's cool. I look forward to seeing what they come up with.
Guhh. I'm sleepy. I've been making ornaments all day. A delightful combination of glass bottles, beads, ribbon and beet seed. Uhm. Don't ask. Tomorrow I'm off to help Miles in the greenhouse, instigating a green bean orgy.

Good times.

Procrastination...

Sometimes... procrastination is necessary for inspiration. Uhm... yes. I did however watch an awesome interview with Jennie Breeden on YouTube.
And... what else. Drew some drawbly things. Christmas shopping. And... well, a book came out of the bookcase today which NEEDED to be read. Apparently, all in one sitting this morning/afternoon. Gah. Literature.
I shake my fist at you and your... enrapturingness.

Adventures in Judaism.

So. I don't have any real news to report. But I do have an amusing story. I was talking to a friend online, who is Jewish.
He's my general resource for questions about Jews and Judaism in general. Something I have always wondered, was, "How do bald guys keep the yarmulke on their heads?"
So, I asked him. Sadly, he didn't know. But, this made him very curious as well. So, he called his rabbi. (This in itself is hilarious to me, that it was perplexing enough to
call an authority on the subject.) Apparently- double stick tape. Kara was curious as to whether or not the tape should be kosher, or if there was such a thing as kosher tape.
There isn't by the way, if you were wondering about that.

In other news, (but still similar news) I was also curious as to the purpose of the yarmulke in general. Whether it was a respect thing, or a style thing or a 'Hey, my head needs a hubcap' thing.
He assured me it was a hub cap thing. No, apparently it's a respect thing, that they wear in times of prayer. Which, is also interesting, just not as funny.
There you go. My adventures learning about Judaism.

Kara's coming to bisit!

Hmmm. I don't have a lot of news today. Except for... Kara's coming to visit! After Christmas! I'm super excited. Definitely.

Hm, other than that, things are pretty quiet here at Lake Wobegone.

Bubble Wrap

This is a true strip. For a period of about a month when I was a freshman I cut out doormat sized pieces of bubble wrap, and stapled it in front of my door. So, naturally, it would pop whenever anyone came in and out of the room. It was a lot of fun. But, sadly, I ran out of bubble wrap. I would totally do it again though.
Although, it really only works on an internal door, because bubble wrap isn't very useful for wiping your feet on.

Everyone did love the bubble wrap though, and would stop by just to step on it.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Sharon

Gah. I totally didn't have any news for Tuesday. Or rather, I did, but I didn't post any of it because I was out of town all weekend. (Where did you go? I hear you ask silently)
I went up to Everett for my Aunt Sharon's birthday party (Happy Birthday!) and just to see family. Which, was really good, and I re-met a lot of people I've met several times, and got lots of positive
feedback about comicing in general, which reaffirmed that yeah, it is a pretty cool thing to be doing. So, that's always good. I had a blast. Also went shopping, and to a Christmas Concert. If you happen to be in Everett, WA, and the
Everett Chorale is singing, you should go see them, because they're really good.

What else happened...

I met my 2nd (?) cousin's baby, Willow, and she's to die for adorable, so that was fun. Yaay babies. And them, existing. So, that's pretty much what I've been up to. Oh yeah, Gwydia and Ayen- luuurve at first sight. Obviously.

Silliness.

Drawbunnies? Wtf? I'll explain. A little. Drawbunnies, are these crazy little ideas I have (usually at about one in the morning) that suddenly demand that they be drawn.
I curse them, because I get all excited about a drawing, and then I'm up until three without realizing it; however, I also love them because they are the impetus for some of my most awesome drawings.
They just keep me from sleeping like a normal human being. Oh! And, bum bum bum, I have new vote goodies for you! It's a page from a sample comic I did as a submission packet, which, alas, did not go anywhere.
But, now you get to see it. So- that's something, yes? Buzzcomix gives you an early sketch, and Top Web Comics you get the finished page. Vote on both! See the changes and developments. Ooohhh, pretty.
Ah know, like seriously!

Another thing, much love for Blayson, how is officially Geek Blather's first and #1 Fanboi. It's true. He has a shiny banner and everything. He wins at loving comic and being a chihuaha.

And, for Kara... "Im in ur headz- breakin ur lampz!"
